At Crest High School, Thad Cook and Rusty Wright do a drag race "seminar" for some young people wanting to get into the sport of drag racing. Here, Rusty's 7.00 ride is the textbook. Thad and Rusty are on a mission to spread the word about PTRA drag racing.

At Maiden High School, Bo Bohanon, Aaron Hice and Eddie Smith Jr. all came out to display their bad rides in an attempt to introduce drag racing to this young crowd and also let them know that "street eliminator" is a great option for new racers. Thanks to Gail Whisnant Langley for setting this up at the school where she is an English teacher. In this picture, it is easy to see which car was running at the time. The crowd shifted from car to car as they were fired up. Smith's 5.30 Camaro was the focus during this shot, while it was warming up at school. How cool. |
